Snow flurries and slick roads led school officials to call off classes on Thursday. Students on Wake County's year-round calendar made up the day on Saturday.<br />

School officials said attendance was slightly less than a typical school day. Some parents told WRAL that school on Saturday wasn't as bad as it sounds.<br />

“They didn't have any plans today, so I don't think they cared,” said parent Karyn Wolf. “If we'd had major plans, it would have been a big deal to cancel our plans.”<br />

Students on the traditional calendar will have their makeup day on Feb. 19.
