Parents Ask Judge To Reconsider Modular School Ruling
Posted August 9, 2005
RALEIGH, N.C. — The parents at the center of a legal fight over a controversial modular school in Wake Forest asked a judge to change his mind.
On July 29, Judge Wade Barber refused to grant an injunction to stop the school. He said granting it would create more overcrowding at other schools.
Attorneys for the parents argued it was illegal for Wake County Schools to build on land it does not own.
The parent's group is fighting the two-year reassignment because they say the neighborhood around the school is too dangerous.
