RALEIGH, N.C. — Jury selection begins Tuesday in the trial of a former state employee, charged in a deadly drunken driving crash.
Police say in September 2004, Robert Goodwin was driving a state-owned dump truck while on the clock when he crossed the median and ran head-on into a minvan driven by Hayun Chen. Chen died at the hospital.
Goodwin is charged with second-degree murder.
Goodwin worked at the Governor Morehead School for nearly 20 years.
