Nine-year old Taylor Fisher set up the stand to help other kids; all her proceeds will be used to buy Christmas presents for abused children.
"It will make them happy," Taylor said.
Taylor came up with the idea after hearing about 3-year-old Jaheim Cooper, who recently died from abuse.
So, she asked her father Jerry to help and explained why she wanted to help abused children.
Her goal was to raise $500 over a four-day period, but she brought in nearly $600 on the first day. One customer donated $100 for one cup.
Several local businesses donated supplies to keep her stand going.
Taylor plans to continue selling lemonade at Westridge Shopping Center in Rocky Mount through Saturday.
