WILSON, N.C. — One man was killed and another person was seriously injured early Sunday morning after robbers stormed a Pizza Hut in Wilson.

Police said robbers stormed the restaurant located on Glendale Drive at about 1 a.m. Sunday, just before the Pizza Hut was scheduled to close. An employee immediately called 911, but the robbers shot two employees, killing a 20-year-old and seriously injuring an 18-year-old.

Investigators have not said how many gunmen were involved in the robbery and shootings.

"Only thing I can say is it was more than one," Sgt. W.S. Bissette of the Wilson Police Department said.

A third employee near the restaurant at the time of the shootings was not injured, Bissette said.

"It was a female employee and she was out in front and they did not harm her," he said.

Police have not released the names of the victims and have not released any information about the suspects.

"We hope this is a random incident," Bissette said.
