GOLDSBORO, N.C. — Authorities have arrested a suspect in a fire that happened this past weekend that left two people dead.
The State Bureau of Investigation and Goldsboro police arrested 34-year-old Leon Edward Farrior Thursday and charged him with two counts of first-degree murder and one count of first-degree arson.
Firefighters found Roy Chester Rowe, 48, and his girlfriend, Patricia Ann Raynor, 38, dead inside their upstairs apartment on North George Street early Saturday morning.
Raynor was buried Thursday; Rowe is scheduled to be buried on Friday.
Authorities have not yet released any other details on the arrest or a possible motive.
