Young Boy Injured in Johnston County Wreck Dies

A young boy injured in a Johnston County wreck has died.

Abian Nashid Copelin, 9, of Clayton was one of five victims injured when an SUV and two cars collided on Barber Mill Road south of Clayton about 3 p.m. Sunday. Copelin was taken to WakeMed, where he died Monday evening.

Four other people were hospitalized at WakeMed with non-life threatening injuries, said Highway Patrol officials.

Yeah, I got the terrible letter from my child's school today too! This is a sad tough time for my child having to deal with the loss of a friend so young. The ATV accident was a sad thing too. Please pray for both families during these trying times.

ya...this young man went to my daughter's school....got papers from school today regarding this.....and another boy's 43 father died last weekend on ATV...very sad

PEOPLE PLEASSSEEE PUT SELT BELTS ON YOUR KIDS!!!! IF THEY TRY TO GET OUT OF THEM.....DO LIKE MY DAD DID ME WHEN I WAS LITTLE. STOP ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND GIVE IT TO THEM!!!! THEY WILL LEARN ONE WAY OR ANOTHER......LET'S HELP KEEP OUR NEXT GENERATION ALIVE....

WAY TO MANY YOUNG PEOPLE ARE LEAVING US PERIOD!

How sad. My thoughts are with his family. Way too many young people are leaving us in car accidents. :(
