Newton Grove, N.C. — A 36-year-old woman has been charged in connection with a weekend stabbing death, authorities said.
Angela Michelle Creech is charged with one count of murder in connection with the Saturday night incident. She is being held in the Sampson County Detention Center without bond.
The victim's name hasn't been released.
Someone walked into the Newton Grove Police Department at about 10:30 p.m. Saturday to report a stabbing and led officers to a residence on Alex Benton Road, where a man was found dead, authorities said.
The Sampson County Sheriff's Office is handling the case since the crime occurred outside the Newton Grove town limits.
