Garner's White Deer Set To Return To Limelight

GARNER, N.C. — Garner's famous white deer is ready to go back on display.

Last month, vandals dragged the stuffed doe out of her Lake Benson home and set her on fire.

A Garner taxidermist repaired the animal at minimal cost.

The repaired doe will be unveiled during the town's Independence Day celebration on Sunday.

The deer will stay at a public works building until workers repair her home and make it more secure.
