CHAPEL HILL — The Town of Chapel Hill adopted a budget Monday that decreased the property tax rate by 5.3 cents.
The decrease, however, does not necessarily mean taxes are down across the board.
Orange County's revaluation of property raised real estate values by 20 percent.
The town's new budget also calls for a raise for town employees.
