Pinehurst Leaders To Examine Possible Annexation Of Neighboring Town

JACKSON HAMLET, N.C. — A poor Moore County community could soon have a sewer solution.
Pinehurst leaders have hired a planning firm to see if Jackson Hamlet meets the requirements for annexation.
The community shares most of its boundary with the golf village.
Jackson Hamlet has repeatedly asked local governments for sewer service, police protection and trash pickup.
County leaders say providing the services would be too expensive.
