I think people are referencing a "train" but it would likely be a monorail...similar to the one going up in Charlotte.

So, train wrecks never happen? I hear on the news every once in a while (more frequently lately) about train derailments.

The reason people move here is because of low taxes-the reason we have low taxes is that we do not subsidize public transportation. I would not mind taking a train to work but most people do not know how to schedule additional time to allow for that. Until then, no one wants to take a train or bus.

Good luck changing the way people think about their lives. That is what you are going to have to do to get them to ride a train to work. We are married to convienience and nobody wants to sacrifices that to save any amount of gas.

    It's called 'natural selection'

I would rather ride a train to work that drive anyday. Plus it saves gas.

See, that is why we need a transit system in the metro area. You will have more and more accidents and more and more deaths. The people of Wake County doesn't seem to care.

I hope everyone is ok. I live off Page and heard the ambulance and fire trucks this morning.
