NTSB Report Fails To Shed Light On Cause Of 2003 Plane Crash

RALEIGH, N.C. — A report from the National Transportation Safety Board reveals more details, but no specific cause for a small plane crash in 2003.

The plane crashed shortly after take-off on the morning of Dec. 17 near Sanford.

The NTSB report shows the pilot was thorough and well-trained. The plane was also in good working condition.

The pilot, Jaime Beingolea, was killed. His four passengers survived.

The group of friends were headed to the Outer Banks to celebrate the Centennial of Flight Celebration at Kitty Hawk.
