Someone in Missouri may be $254 million richer.

Lottery officials said the winning Powerball ticket was sold in that state, but the lucky winner has not yet been identified.

Two people in North Carolina matched five of the winning numbers. Each will get a $200,000 prize.

The winning numbers were 9, 19, 29, 42, 53 and the Powerball was 17 and the power play was 3. The jackpot for Saturday's drawing is now $15 million.

The Powerball lottery had not had a top winner since November when one player in Halifax County won a jackpot worth more than $74 million. So far, no one has come forward to claim that jackpot.

Don't THEY say the lottery is a tax on people who are bad at math?

If they don't want the 74M, I'll gladly take it. 8-P

I was waiting for that one! Thanks!

Ummm...that's Edward R. MURROW...fyi ;D

The lottery money is being used to pay 20 or 30 people with big salaries that work for the lottery. The state only gets about 30 percent of the proceeeds and they have the nerve to call it the education lottery. Millions are paid to the individuals who work for the lottery. salaries, bonus, the whole 9 yards.
