Four Men Wanted In Connection With Early-Morning Wake Shooting

RALEIGH, N.C. — The Wake County Sheriff's Office is investigating an early-morning shooting that caused some traffic tie-ups for the morning commute.
Investigators say four men broke into a house around 4:15 a.m. on Riverview Road near Old Milburnie Road and shot one of the two people living inside. The suspects then took off in a car.
The victim, Michael Burgey, is in the hospital in stable condition. Investigators do not have the names or description of the suspects. The motive for the shooting is not yet know.
Morning traffic in the westbound lanes of Highway 64 was affected as authorities conducted their investigation.
