FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A Fayetteville real estate agent shot three times last week continues to improve, according to investigators.

Kathleen Yaggi, who police said was shot last Thursday outside a mobile home, was moved out of intensive care Monday.

Investigators said June McCoy had told Yaggi that he was interested in seeing a property. When Yaggi arrived to where McCoy was staying, authorities said McCoy shot her.

McCoy, who family members say is bipolar, then barricaded himself inside the mobile home and at some point shot himself in the head, according to police.

Detectives said McCoy is expected to survive, but that he is now paralyzed on one side.
