Three Arrested In Cumberland Drive-By Shooting

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Three Fayetteville men have been arrested and charged in connection with an overnight drive-by shooting.

Investigators say 19-year old William Burkett, 27-year-old Brian Scott Odom and 32-year-old Howard Hargett drove by a home on Knollwood Drive in a dark-colored pickup truck and fired a shotgun at two people standing on a front porch.

The victims were taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center by a friend and received treatment for unknown injuries. None of the injuries were life-threatening.

The three men were charged with attempted first-degree murder, aggravated assault, felony conspiracy and discharging a firearm into an occupied dwelling.

Burkett's bond is set at $100,000, Hargett's bond is set at $150,000 and Odom's bond is set at $100,000.
