FAYETTEVILLE — There is more trouble for a Fayetteville event planner charged with sex crimes.
Wednesday, Fayetteville police charged Jeffrey Scott Davis with 10 counts of obtaining property by false pretenses.
Several local business owners say they gave Davis up to $500 to participate in a bridal show. The event never took place because Davis was being held in the Cumberland County Jail.
He says he plans to reimburse the money from the bridal show.
Davis was charged with sexual exploitation of a minor in December. He is also charged with having pornographic pictures of a 17-year-old.
Davis was released Monday on an unsecured bond and is under house arrest. He goes to court on the sex charges later this month.
