Medicare Patients To Rally Against Senate's Proposed Budget

Posted Updated

RALEIGH, N.C. — Medicare patients are bringing their stories directly to state lawmakers who want to cut their benefits.

They joined dozens of advocates for the elderly and disabled at the Museum of Natural Science Wednesday morning to map out a strategy before heading to the Legislative Building.

The group says Medicaid cuts in the Senate's budget would actually force thousands of in-home patients into much more expensive nursing homes.
