ORANGE COUNTY, N.C. — An Orange County man serving more than 30 years on child abuse charges lost his appeal Tuesday.
In 2003, jurors convicted Stephen Prentice for sexually assaulting a three-year-old.
In his appeal, Prentice claimed the court made a mistake in allowing jurors to watch a tape he made of the assault
He was one of six North Carolina residents arrested for his role in a child pornography ring based out of Texas.
