NASHVILLE, N.C. — The Nash County Sheriff's Office is investigating the shooting death of a 41-year-old man.
Deputies said they arrived to a house on Bud Lane in Nashville Friday night and found Sherman Wilson dead from a gunshot wound.
They said he and his wife, 35-year-old Sharon Speight, had been involved in a domestic altercation at the house, and Speight was still on the scene when deputies arrived. Investigators are interviewing Speight and other witnesses.
No charges have been filed at this time, pending the outcome of the investigation, deputies said.
