Man Arrested For Wayne County Middle School Robbery, Sheriff's Office Says

WAYNE COUNTY, N.C. — The Wayne County Sheriff's Office said Friday that a stolen car led investigators to computers and TVs taken from a Wayne County school overnight Thursday.

A sheriff's deputy pulled over Delbert Owens, 27, of Goldsboro, Thursday afternoon for a stolen car, the sheriff's office said. While making contact with Owens, the deputy discovered labeled school equipment belonging to Norwayne Middle School in the back seat.

Owens faces several charges, including felony breaking, entering and larceny and felony possession of stolen property.

Deputies are still trying to locate other equipment missing from the school.
