Raleigh Man Accused Of Double Shooting Faces Charges After Hospital Release

RALEIGH, N.C. — A Raleigh man released from the hospital will now face charges after more than a month of treatment for burns.

Bernard Sanford Jr., 62, faces murder and arson charges in connection with a double shooting and fire last month on Sun Catcher Lane in Raleigh.

Sanford is accused of setting the mobile home on fire after the shooting. Nathanial Winters, 45, died. His sister-in-law, Karen Winters, suffered serious injuries.
