<b>DURHAM, N.C.</b> — The search for a missing newborn is over.

Police say a four-day-old baby girl was taken by her father from a motel room Thursday.

Authorities say the father, Lamont Brandon, did not have legal custody.

Police have not said how the baby was found.

Brandon was arrested early Friday in Chapel Hill and charged with assault on a female, communicating threats, possession of marijuana and a probation violation.
