RALEIGH, N.C. — The North Carolina Senate wants to give children of the state's National Guard in-state college tuition.
The Senate approved a bill Thursday that would give any dependent relative of a National Guard member the in-state tuition rate for University of North Carolina schools.
In some cases, National Guardsmen live out of state, or have just moved to North Carolina.
The bill still needs to go to the House.
