Raleigh Names New Solid Waste Director

e-mail print friendly
Raleigh has a new solid waste director.

Fred Battle will become director of the department on Monday. He has been assistant director since mid 2005.

Gerald Latta, the former director of the department, was forced to retire after sanitation workers walked out in September.

Employees were protesting the way they said management had treated them.

Battle has been interim director since Latta's retirement.

why does everyone have to try and relate Nifong to whatever is going on? LET IT GO PEOPLE>>>>>>>it's people like you that keep giving the story publicity....

I would advise Fred Battle to treat his staff (Field Employees - Non Admin) with respect, dignity and the way he would like to be treated. Since '05 he's (Battle) been involved one way or another. Just like Latta he too can get put out with the garbage.

Mike Nifong would not be qualified for this job because it would be the wrong type of publicity for his schemes. Besides, by time he is done with the bar, he too will probably be put out with the trash. Save that for the media coverage soon to come)

Sounds like a job Mike Nifong might be qualified for.
