Cary Kroger Evacuated After Report of Odor

A Cary grocery store was temporarily evacuated Thursday afternoon after reports of a noxious odor.

Shoppers were forced to leave the Kroger at 1273 NW Maynard Road for about 30 minutes after some customers complained of burning eyes and discomfort. One person was transported to a local hospital.

Crews were looking for a possible freon leak.

The store was reopened at about 3:45 p.m.

    wow ...cary is really not the place to live..look back on things that has happened in the past 2 yrs...someone must have put up a yard sale sign in the store...you would have to live in preston to understand like i did....or it could be the sewer system again

    monsignor tim from the catholic church down the street that arrested the usher must have came in and farted.

    a bunch of us parishioners have gone to the bishop regarding him arresting our ushers.
