GARNER, N.C. — Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred early Sunday morning at a Pizza Hut in Garner.
Investigators with the Garner Police Department said a man allegedly approached the manager of the restaurant from behind as the manager was leaving the store Sunday at about 1:15 a.m.
Police said the suspect demanded money, and then fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.
A K-9 unit assisted in a search for the suspect near the restaurant's location on Aversboro Road, but a suspect has not been arrested.
No injuries were reported.
Police described the suspect as a male in his 20s and about 5-foot-7. He was wearing a white hood, black shirt and black pants at the time of robbery.
