DURHAM, N.C. — A Durham man is in custody and investigators are looking for his wife in connection with an attempted armed robbery of a fast-food restaurant in April.
Employees were leaving the Burger King at 5725 North Roxboro Road around 11:15 p.m. on April 25 when a man armed with a gun jumped out from behind the bushes in front of the business. The suspect struggled with the manager, but the robbery was thwarted when the suspect tripped over a curb and dropped his gun. Nothing was taken.
Anthony Douglas, 38, of Marne Avenue, was arrested Monday and charged with attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit armed robbery of a business.
Investigators are still trying to find his wife, Pamela Faye Marecheau, who is wanted on the same charges. Marecheau, 38, of Marne Avenue was employed at the Burger King when the incident occurred.
Anyone with information on Marecheau's whereabouts is asked to call Durham police at
