EDGECOMBE COUNTY, N.C. — Edgecombe County schools are cracking down on poor sportsmanship.
School officials say a shouting match broke out among opposing parents and at least one player at a recent high school baseball game between rivals Tarboro and Southwest Edgecombe.
Now, schools plan to post sportsmanship and conduct policies at every stadium and read them before every game.
They also plan to have officers and faculty members patrol all sporting events to prevent problems.
