Wilson Easing Financial Burden Of Energy Costs

Posted Updated

WILSON, N.C. — The city of Wilson is helping ease the blow of rising electricity costs.

The North Carolina Eastern Municipal Power agency recently announced a 5.4 percent service hike.

City officials decided to absorb more than $83,000 a month, so Wilson customers won't have to pay as much.

City leaders say they want to minimize already tough financial burdens on families and businesses.
