Johnston County Voters Decide In Favor Of School Bond

JOHNSTON COUNTY, N.C. — With all but one poll site reporting, Johnston County voters have decided in favor to an $85 million bond that would fund construction on new schools and renovations on others.

With a 15-percent voter turnout, 77 percent of those voting (4,313 votes) indicated they favored the bond; 23 percent voted against it (1,264 votes).

The bond would build two new elementary schools, one new middle school and fund 16 improvement projects.
