RALEIGH, N.C. — Demolition work began this week on the former Pepsi Bottling plant in Raleigh.
The plant is rumored to be the future site of a Costco warehouse store, but Pepsi officials said that recent published reports were incorrect about parts of the Costco angle.
Costco has an economic development announcement scheduled for May 26. It's possible that any expansion plans could be announced then.
D.H. Griffin Wrecking is the contractor demolishing
