Budget, Bullying Discussed At Wake School Board Meeting

Posted Updated

RALEIGH, N.C. — Tuesday, the Wake County School Board made two major decisions.

One was approving the new county school budget which would be an increase to Wake schools as a whole by $30 million. The new county school budget plan could lead to a property tax hike for Wake County residents.

County commissioners will take up that request later in May.

School board members also voted to add "bullying" to the school system's harassment policy. The move brings it in line with the state's policy.
