Knightdale Residents Discuss Gang Prevention
Posted May 4, 2005
KNIGHTDALE, N.C. — Knightdale residents claim gang activity is happening on a weekly basis, and they do not plan to put up with it.
Hundreds of people showed up Tuesday for a gang prevention meeting. Town leaders believe graffiti is the start of more serious gang-related activity.
To stop the problem, leaders are developing community watch programs and encouraging people to report any suspicious activity.
They also suggest parents be held responsible for their children's actions and that an earlier curfew be adopted.
