RALEIGH — Fayetteville Street Mall in downtown Raleigh is starting to look more like a street.
Contractors have finished removing all the bricks, trees, and shrubs and are moving ahead with the next portion of the street project.
Officials began the process of opening the mall to traffic in March.
The opening of Fayetteville Street Mall to traffic is expected to increase business revenues in the downtown Raleigh area.
The street reutilization project is expected to be completed by May 2006.
