Harnett County Hospital Temporarily Ceases Emergency Services

Posted Updated

ERWIN, N.C. — Saturday night is it for the emergency room at a Harnett County hospital.

At midnight Saturday, Good Hope Hospital in Erwin will temporarily cease emergency services.

Hospital administrators said they need to save money for their legal fight to build a new hospital in Lillington.

They plan to reopen the emergency room as soon as the court case is settled.

In the meantime, patients seeking emergency services will be seen at Betsy Johnson Memorial Hospital, in Dunn.
