<b>ROANOKE RAPIDS, N.C.</b> — Roanoke Rapids Police said Friday that thieves knew exactly what they wanted when they broke into several airplanes kept at a local airport.

Authorities said thieves targeted some of the most expensive equipment in the planes. They picked the locks and stole thousands of dollars in radio and aviation equipment.

None of the planes appeared to be damaged.

Drake Powell is one of the top high school basketball players in the country.  Next year the Pittsboro native will play for his dream school UNC, but this season he had unfinished business at Northwood High School.
