Tempers Flare Again At Durham School Board Meeting

Posted Updated

DURHAM, N.C. — Thursday marked another dramatic meeting for Durham school board members.

Some people in attendance for the meeting called for Superintendent Ann Denlinger to resign.

Police arrested three people after they were escorted out of the building because they ignored a controversial new policy and spoke out on issues not on the agenda. All three people were released later from the jail.

One woman had to be taken to a local hospital because she was complaining of chest pains.

Thursday's meeting was the first test of the board's new rules.
