U.S. Open Will Bring 1,000 Temporary Workers In June

Posted Updated

PINEHURST, N.C. — The jobs only last a week, and don't pay a whole lot of money, but the benefits could be great.

The U.S. Open comes to Pinehurst in June, and needs about 1,000 temporary workers to be everything from bartenders to dishwashers to parking lot attendants and bus drivers.

Nesco Resources is recruiting the workers.

The company has held two job fairs this month at Southern Pines hotels. A spokesman said it will probably hold two more in May, but did not say when.
