WAYNE COUNTY, N.C. — There's a major check cashing scam in Wayne County that police are warning area residents about.
Police say more than 90 fake payroll checks from Case Farms were cashed earlier this week by Carolina Check Co. at the Case Farms site.
Investigators say there could be more fake checks out there.
Investigators don't know who's making the checks or who cashed them.
