<b>DURHAM, N.C.</b> — Durham police are investigating a shooting that occurred Thursday evening on Crest Street near Shirley Street.

Kashaun Patterson, 17, of Friends School Road, was shot in a parking lot near 2507 Crest St. around 5:33 p.m. He was taken to Duke University Hospital, where he died on Friday.

No charges have been filed, but investigators are following several leads.
