<b>WAKE COUNTY, N.C.</b> — A trial date has been set for a Wake County murder suspect accused of killing his wife.

Daniel Lang will go on trial in March 2006 for killing 44-year-old Shirley Lang, a nurse at Dorthea Dix Hospital.

The crime occurred more than two years ago, but prosecutors delayed their case because of reports that Lang had terminal cancer.

The suspect appeared healthy during a court appearance Thursday.

Police say Shirley Lang died after having her throat cut.
