Wake's Paul to Enter NBA Draft

Posted Updated

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Wake Forest guard Chris Paul has scheduled a news conference for Thursday afternoon, when it's expected he'll announce that he's entering the NBA draft.

The news conference is scheduled for 4 p.m.on the Wake Forest campus.

Paul was named first-team All-America by The Associated Press and was first-team All-ACC after averaging 15 points per game and leading the Demon Deacons with 212 assists.

His departure, along with that of seniors Jamaal Levy, Taron Downey and Vytas Danelius, would leave Wake Forest with only two returning starters, seniors Justin Gray and Eric Williams.

Williams said last night that he plans to enter the NBA draft, but will not hire an agent, meaning he could return to Wake Forest for his senior season.
