Crews Repair Gas Leak In Morrisville

WAKE COUNTY, N.C. — A gas main break was reported in Morrisville Wednesday afternoon.

The leak was reported shortly before 1 p.m. at an Interstate 540 construction site in the vicinity of Cisco Systems and the Breckenridge subdivision off of Davis Drive. Businesses in that area were evacuated.

Crews have since repaired the gas leak and all roadblocks in the area are now clear and roads are open. The Morrisville Fire Department has no reports of any injuries.

During the leak, 15 homes in Breckenridge Development, and four buildings at Kitt Creek and Louis Stephens Drive, including Cisco Systems, were evacuated as a precaution.
