Manhunt On For Bank Robbery Suspect Near Methodist College

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Authorities in Fayetteville are searching an area around Methodist College for a suspect involved in a bank robbery Friday morning.

Police said a man walked into the BB&T bank, located on College Center Drive at 10:18 a.m. and held up the bank using a shotgun. The man exited through the back door and fled into the woods at the rear of the business.

The bank is about a block from the college campus. Classes at the college have not been cancelled, and there have been no evacuations.

Authorities are looking for a thin white man, who is about 6 foot 2 inches tall and was wearing a black ski mask and dark clothing. He fled the bank with three burgundy pillowcases with money.

There were no injuries during the robbery.
