Hazardous Leak At Truck Stop Forces Evacuation

JOHNSTON COUNTY, N.C. — Authorities closed an exit off Interstate 95 in Johnston County and are evacuated a truck stop after a truck was discovered leaking hazardous materials.

The incident happened around 8 a.m. Friday at the

at

mile marker 106, just outside Kenly

The trucking company involved has contacted a hazardous materials cleanup company to handle the incident.

The leak was from a tractor-trailer parked near the fuel area and truck wash center. Authorities believe the leak was from a chemical called Dimethel Chlorosilane, which is highly flammable.
