RALEIGH, N.C. — The Wake County Sheriff's Office is investigating allegations of abuse involving three of its jailers.
Lisa Stalter, who was arrested for assault, claims she was assaulted in jail. She said the jailers broke her arm and denied her medical care for two hours.
The 35-year-old was eventually taken to the hospital.
A representative for the sheriff's office said the employees are still on the job while investigators try to substantiate Stalter's claims.
