RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police are investigating an accident that killed a pedestrian on Poole Road.
It happened near the intersection of Norwood Street around 10 p.m. on Friday.
Police said a 26-year-old man, Ronnie Lee Kornegay, was apparently attempting to cross Poole Road -- out of a designated crosswalk and against the light -- when he was struck by a car and killed.
