Donald Wimbrow
NORLINA, N.C. — A woman is being questioned, but no arrests have been made in connection with a death of a 79-year-old.

Donald Wimbrow was last seen Monday morning around 8 a.m., when he got gas for his van at Rose Mart near Norlina. Someone spotted his abandoned van at 9 a.m. Monday.

After a search, Wimbrow was found dead under a trailer Tuesday morning. Authorities said the body was wrapped in bedsheets.

Wimbrow, who sells cleaning supplies from his van, is a well-known businessman in the area.

Investigators said that Wimbrow might have been targeted for a robbery because he is known to carry large sums of money around in his van for his business.

Warren County Sheriff Johnny Williams said he suspects foul play was involved in Wimbrow's death. If anyone has information about the case can call Norlina police at 252-456-3401 or the Warren County Sheriff at 252-257-3364.
